Divers found the body of a teenage Fort Knox soldier who disappeared while swimming with friends.
The body of 19-year-old Spc. Joe Don Land was recovered Sunday from the Salt River in northern Kentucky, not far from the U.S. Army post.
Deputy Hardin County Coroner Barry Brown said Land's body had what appeared to be homemade rappelling equipment on it.
Brown said the death was a possible drowning, but said an autopsy Monday would determine the cause of Land's death.
Authorities said Land was swimming with 7 other soldiers under a railroad trestle Saturday when he called for help and disappeared.
