The Kentucky Symphony Orchestra brought three scenes of operatic madness to the Paramount Arts Center stage Saturday evening with the performance of "Twisted Sisters: Mad Ladies of the Opera".
With soprano Amy Johnson adding voice, the 90-minute performance included the last act of Donizetti's "Lucia di Lammermoor, Boito's "Mefistofele" and Robert Strauss' "Salome". The theme for the concert was the brainchild of music director James Cassidy, who conducted.
Johnson's long list of accomplishments includes performances on PBS, a concert at Carnegie Hall and an upcoming CD.
