ASHLAND — Ashland

Events this week at the Ashland Senior Center at 324 15th St. The center is open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. Telephone: (606) 324-7323.

If Ashland City Schools are closed because of bad weather, the center will also be closed.

Senior of the month: Henry Helton.

Today:   9 a.m. — Coffee/paper.

10:30 a.m. — Exercise with Becky.

11:30 a.m. — Lunch.

Noon — Games and line dance with Kevin.

Tuesday:  Art Class.

Wednesday 9 a.m. — Coffee/paper.

10:30 a.m. — Exercise with Becky.

11:30 a.m. — Lunch.

Noon — Games.

Thursday: Library day.

Friday: 9 a.m. — Coffee/paper.

10:30 a.m. — Entertainment by Just the Four of Us.

11:30 a.m. —  Lunch.

Noon — Corn toss.

Noon — Games.

Boyd County

Events this week at the Boyd County Senior Center at 3015 Louisa St., Catlettsburg. The center is open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. Telephone: (606) 739-6349. Those who need a bus ride should call by 8 a.m.

Monday: Closed for Martin Luther King Day.

Tuesday: 8 a.m. — Coffee and doughnuts.

9:30 a.m. — Bible study.

10:30 a.m. — Exercise class.

Friday: Current events with Eastern Kentucky Voice.

Elliott County

Events this week at the Elliott County Senior Citizens Center, Rocky Adkins Community Center, Main Street, Sandy Hook. (606) 738-6945. Open 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.          

Today: Closed

Tuesday: Make laundry day easier and cheaper; hand exercise with balls; pool and card games.

Wednesday: Break the clutter cycle; current events; cross word puzzles.

Thursday: Stress breakers, mood lifters and new ways to get more out of life; current event; checker games.

Friday: Walking by Helen Clinger; current event; education; scrabble.

Greenup County

Events this week at the Greenup County Senior Center, 1617 Ashland Road behind Stultz Pharmacy in the Applegate Plaza. The center is open from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Walking daily, weather permitting. Telephone: (606) 473-6244.

Today: Closed.

6 to 9 p.m. Line Dance Class.

Tuesday: 11 a.m. — Bingo.

Wednesday: 10 a.m. — Exercise.

Thursday: 10 a.m.—Senior breakfast.

6 to 10 p.m. — Dance.

Raceland

Events this week at the Raceland Community Center.

Tuesday: 10:30 a.m. — Ladies’ games and lunch.

Thursday: 10:30 a.m. — Games.

6 to 9 p.m. — Line dancing.

Russell

Activities Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Russell Senior Center at the Russell Depot on Ferry Street are TV, computers, library, board games, card games and museum.
