ASHLAND — Ashland

Events this week at the Ashland Senior Center at 324 15th St. The center is open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. Telephone: (606) 324-7323.

If Ashland City Schools are closed because of bad weather, the center will also be closed.

Today:  9 a.m. — Coffee and paper; 10:30 a.m. — Exercise with Becky; 11:30 a.m. — Lunch; noon — games and line dance with Kevin.

Tuesday: Art class

Wednesday: 9 a.m. — Coffee and paper; 10:30 a.m. — Exercise with Becky; 11:30 a.m. — Lunch; noon — games.

Thursday: Movie day.

Friday: 9 a.m. — Coffee/paper; 10:30 a.m. — Bingo; 11:30 a.m. —  Lunch; noon — corn toss, games.

Jan. 14:  9 a.m. — Coffee and paper; 10:30 a.m. — Exercise with Becky; 11:30 a.m. — Lunch; noon — games and line dance with Kevin.

Boyd County

Events this week at the Boyd County Senior Center at 3015 Louisa St., Catlettsburg. The center is open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. Telephone: (606) 739-6349. Those who need a bus ride should call by 8 a.m.

Tuesday

8 a.m. — Coffee and donuts.

9:30 a.m. — Bible study.

Carter County

Events this week at the Carter County Senior Center at 200 N. Hord St., Grayson. The center is open from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (606) 474-4179.

Elliott County

Events this week at the Elliott County Senior Citizens Center, Rocky Adkins Community Center, Main Street, Sandy Hook. (606) 738-6945. Open 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.          

Today: Ways to help get rid of stress; education; chat time. 

Tuesday: Ways to fibe the gifts of love; current events; bingo by Davy Porter.

Wednesday: Discover Happiness; hand excercise with balls; games.

Thursday: Surviving habits that are making you sick; seven money savers you should avoid.

Friday: Walking by Helen Clinger; card game; current events.

Greenup County

Events this week at the Greenup County Senior Center, 1617 Ashland Road behind Stultz Pharmacy in the Applegate Plaza. The center is open from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Walking daily, weather permitting. Telephone: (606) 473-6244.

Today: Games Wii.

6 to 9 p.m. —Line Dance Class.

Tuesday: 11 a.m. — Bingo.

Wednesday: 10 a.m. — Exercise.

6 to 10 p.m. — Dance.

Raceland

Events this week at the Raceland Community Center.

10:30 a.m. — Ladies’ games and lunch.

Thursday

10:30 a.m. — Games.

6 to 9 p.m. — Line dancing.

Russell

Activities Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Russell Senior Center at the Russell Depot on Ferry Street are TV, computers, library, board games, card games and museum.
