John Anthony Wright, son of Tony and Vicky Wright of Worthington, graduated from Auburn University on May 9 with a doctor of pharmacy degree.

He is a 1998 graduate of Raceland-Worthington High School and a 2002 graduate of Centre College with a bachelor of science degree.

He is the grandson of Paul and Jenny Robbins and Claude and Shirley Wright, all of South Shore. He has been named pharmacy manager at Walgreens in Destin, Fla.

Casey Muncy, son of Jeffery and Pamela Muncy of Ashland, was among 106 students selected to attend Washington and Lee University’s Summer Scholars Program in July in Lexington, Va.

The Summers Scholars Program is an academic program designed to provide students with an opportunity to sample college life and offers a choice of eight curricula each comprised of three courses.

He is a senior at Paul G. Blazer High School.
