March 30 through April 1 — The Grimm Brothers tale “12 Dancing Princesses” will be presented by a cast of 17 local youth actors. Shows will be at 7 p.m. March 30 and 31 and at 3 p.m. April 1. Friday and Saturday, 8 p.m. — The Charleston Ballet will wind up its TriplePlay season with “Play Ball!”

The baseball theme ballet, choreographed by former New York City Ballet principal dancer Christopher Fleming, takes place just after World War II. A romping “9-inning” ballet pits the women’s team against the men’s squad. The dancers become baseball players executing pirouettes and chewing gum at the same time.
