KENTUCKY CENTER

FOR THE ARTS

Feb. 6, 7 p.m. — Free concert featuring violinist Jinjoo Cho and a Gheens Premiere Award presentation to Keith Cook. This concert celebrates Louisville’s orchestra’s making music concerts and fund for the Arts kickoff week.

Feb. 11, 7:30 p.m. — “A Kentucky Salute to Abraham Lincoln.”

This salute to Lincoln will be followed the next morning by official opening ceremonies of the National Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Commemoration, where opening ceremonies will be at the Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historic Site in Hodgenville. The program will begin at 10:30 a.m. and the site will be open to the public from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Bus transportation will be provided from area parking lots.

The Ohio University Symphony Orchestra conducted by Steven Huang will perform at the Paramount Arts Center in Ashland Feb. 7 at 8 p.m. The all strings performance will consist of a dynamic program including cello and violin concertos.
