AMERICAN IDOLS
Aug. 17, 8 p.m. — Pop-Tarts presents American Idols Live! Tour 2007. The tour is making a stop at the 2007 Kentucky State Fair at Freedom Hall. This season’s top 10 finalists, including the show’s eventual winner, will perform highly energetic and entertaining solo and group acts at the show, which sold out at nearly every tour stop during previous years.
The top 10 finalists include Jordin Sparks, Melinda Doolittle, Gina Glocksen, Haley Scarnato, LaKisha Jones, Blake Lewis, Chris Richardson, Chris Sligh, Phil Stacey and Sanjaya Malakar.
Tickets for this concert go on sale May 19 at 10 a.m. Cost is $51 for reserved seating, which includes admission to the Kentucky State Fair and a $1 facility fee. Tickets are available at the Kentucky Exposition Center Ticket Office an all Ticketmaster outlets. The Kentucky Exposition Center Ticket Office will temporarily be on the back side of Broadbent Arena because of the East Wing reconstruction project.
ARTISTS IN CONCERT
Sunday, 3 p.m. — Performers from the faculty of the University of Cincinnati College of Conservatory of Music will perform. They are Rebecca Barnes, viola; Albert Muhlbock, pianist; and Mark Gibson, pianist. Concert will be at the J.B. Sowards Theatre at Ashland Community and Technical College.
Tickets are $15 for adults, $5 for students.
