Words of thanks

The Independent

ASHLAND — The family of Shannon Felty thanks all who helped make his passage bearable, including:

--Doctors Goebel and Justice and their staffs who were so kind and helpful;

--The people at Hospice who cared for him and were so compassionate;

--Those who sent flowers or gifts; the abundance of food that was brought to our homes;

--The meal at the Oldtown Volunteer Fire Department;

--Those who spoke at the service in remembrance of Shannon, as well as friends who took care of preparing the grave. Words or deeds cannot express our appreciation.

Although my family has left the Oldtown-Hopewell-Crane Creek communities and we are no longer neighbors, residents there remain our friends. We are so thankful and Shannon would have been so pleased.
