ASHLAND — Sarah’s Place had another successful “non-walk” walk-a-thon on June 22. This yearly fundraiser provides operating expenses for children in our daycare center. We depend on it to keep delivering professional, nurturing care to  children from six months to four years old.

Besides the donations, the best thing about this fundraiser is that supporters from everywhere can participate. Our children do the walking for them.  This year, we had “participants” from Canada to Florida, and most states in between.

A hats off to the special family and friends sponsors  of Taylor Moore, Camari Parker,  Leighanna Preston, Chloe Traylor, Brooklyn Ball, Kyleigh Clark, Emily Wilson, Friends of Sarah’s Place.

We thank donors Gilliam’s IGA, White’s Meat Market, Snyder’s of Berlin, and Dollar General.

Home is where the heart is. For us, home is Sandy Hook, Elliott County. There’s plenty of heart to go around in this wonderful community.
