ASHLAND — Basketball clinic at RHS cancelled

Because of several unforeseen circumstances that have happened over the last month, I am sorry to announce that the Doron Lamb and Marquis Teague Fundamental Basketball Clinic that was to be held in the Russell High School gymnasium on June 20-22 has been cancelled.

We got a very late start in getting this clinic going and our flyers were passed out too late and many of the students did not even receive them. So, we didn’t get the turnout we had expected and needed for these great former Kentucky athletes, and now NBA players to come here to conduct the clinic.

This was to be a fund raiser for Pros For America’s Youth’s kNOw Obesity and kNOw Tobacco Educational Programs. We will reschedule the clinic and all funds collected will be refunded to all participants.

We thank the Russell School District for its support.  Also, I want to thank Fannin Motors for its help as well.  And for all the other businesses that has shown interest in helping us, we thank you and will return any money or gifts you have pledged.
