ASHLAND — Former teachers proud of new CEO

Excitement accompanied the news  that Boyd County’s own Kristie Flannery Whitlatch was named president/CEO of King’s Daughters Health System. Kristie’s diligent efforts in her series of nursing and leadership roles, combined with her innate abilities and educational achievement, have earened her hearty congratulations.

The news release reported that Kristie graduated fom Boyd County High School. At BCHS, Kristie took classes in the business department and was an active members and officer is the Future Buisiness Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter, which at that time averaged around 250 members. Many of these former FBLA members have become accomplished business professionals.

As Kristie’s former high school business teachers and FBLA chapter advisers, we want her to know that her advancement to the CEO position at KDMC has brought excitement and pride  to these two retired high school business teachers and FBLA advisers.
