ASHLAND — An overreaction to cricket prank

Regarding the release of crickets at East Carter High School by a small group of seniors preparing to graduate, criminals have certain rights, though not earned, but the right to graduate was earned regardless of what happened.

No person was harmed by a high school prank. Many thought it was funny and laughed about it. The manner in which it was handled reminds one of North Korea or China where any act of dissant is stepped on with an iron boot.

The world needs some laughter now and then or else this would be a cold, dark place in which to live.
