Golf tournament to benefit child
On Saturday, May 24, at 8: a.m., there will be a four-man scramble golf tournament at Sandy Creek Golf Course to benefit the Taytum Johnson fund.
Taytum is the 2-year-old daughter of Anna and Jack Johnson of Catlettsburg who suffered brain damage at two weeks of age after being exposed to bacterial menangitis. Taytum has been given the opportunity of a lifetime, and with your help, we can change her life forever!
On May 31, the Johnsons will take little Taytum to Costa Rica to recieve stem cell treatments which could possibly allow her to eventually walk and talk. We have worked extensively over the last few months to raise the funds for Taytum's treatments. Your participation in this golf tournament will assist us in ensuring that sweet Taytum can recieve this important therapy.
Please, grab your golf clubs and join us Saturday for this wonderful event and meet little Miss Taytum herself! The Taytum Johnson fund has been established at National City Bank. To register for the tournament or for more information, contact Mica Williamson at (606) 922-6422, Anna Johnson at (606) 465-2959 or Tara Rice at (606) 547-7988. On behalf of Taytum Grace, we thank you for your support and look nforward to seeing you!

Drill for oil, build refineries
Can someone look into the oil problem?
Why can’t we drill for oil? Or build nuclear plants? Build storage for the nuclear waste or just send it into space.
We should build refineries and partner with Mexico to do some of these things. It might help with the border problem.
Stop using corn as a fuel. It’s a food product. Look at what has happened to the price of food.
How can anyone stop the madness, when no one is talking about it? It’s simple: Bring down oil prices at all costs. Everything else will fall into place.
