GREENUP — Vonda Aneita Jackson, 64, of Greenup, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, in the Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital Emergency Room in Russell following an apparent heart attack.

Mrs. Jackson was born Sept. 9, 1948, in Columbus, Ohio, a daughter of the late Ruth Vaughn Ratliff and Harry Marshall. She was also preceded in death by her son, Joseph Holsinger.

She was a retired nurse at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland and a member of Little Sandy Baptist Church. She was a former volunteer with the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary, often visited veterans in the veterans hospital and helped to decorate the hospital for holidays. She was a former volunteer deliverer and treasurer for Greenup Meals on Wheels.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas D. Jackson; two daughters, Donella (Jeff) Williams of Flatwoods and Trina (Ben) San Juan of Abilene,Texas; a stepson, Edward Arthur (Kim) of West Prosperity, S.C.; two sisters, Teresa Hall and Jackie Marshall, both of Greenup; and seven grandchildren, Layne Williams, Brody San Juan, Sean West, Micah West, Savannah West, Maggie West and Jackson West.

The funeral will be at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup by Brother Wayne Stephenson and Brother Tim Wright.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
