Vivian Theodosia Clark Coffey, 88, of Ashland, passed away Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.
She was born Jan. 16, 1924, in Boyd County, a daughter of the late Arthur Clark and Ethel Estep Clark.
She was employed by Johnson & Music Inc. as a secretary and bookkeeper. She was a hard-working woman and fun to be around, and was well liked by the staff of Woodland Oaks. She raised five kids on her own and was a member of Christ United Methodist Church on Pollard Road.
She was also preceded in death by her daughters, Phyllis Ann Coffey and Janet Lynn Haynes; a son-in-law, Leo Pinchin Jr.; and a brother, Estill Clark.
She is survived by her son, Greg Coffey of Temple, Texas; daughters Mary Pinchin, Nancy (David) Staten of Grayson and Jackie (Ronald) Drooger of Bastop, Texas; a sister, Clarice (Bill) Sparling of South Point; several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
The funeral will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012, at Lazear Funeral Home in Ashland by Pastor Tom Keelin.
Friends may call an hour before services Tuesday at the funeral home.
