Lucile Dorothy Niemeyer - 1921-2013

NOBLESVILLE, IN — Lucile Dorothy Niemeyer, 91, of Noblesville, Ind., passed away in Harbor Manor on Sept. 1, 2013.

She was born on Nov. 13, 1921, in New Bremen, Ohio, to the late Ernest and Rose Ehrman Gallmeier.  

Lucile lived most of her life in Fort Wayne, Ind., so that is where she called home. She and her husband, Carl, wintered in Fort Myers, Fla., and lived in the same retirement park as her brother, Elmer Gallmeier and wife, Ruth. Once again, in their final years, Lucile and her brother, Elmer, lived in Harbor Manor, the same nursing home.

In addition to her parents, Lucile was preceded in death by her husband, Carlton Cornelius Niemeyer; and son, James Lee Niemeyer.  

Survivors include her son, John C. (Mitsy) Niemeyer; her daughter, Mary Kay (Matthew) Tinker; granddaughters, Jennifer J. Hartmann, Nichole Kuntz and Gretchen Blevins; grandson, J. Eric Niemeyer; and four great-grandchildren.  

Inurnment will take place at a later date in Covington Memorial Gardens in Fort Wayne.
