James William “Bull” Parsons - 1944-2013

WEBBVILLE — James William “Bull” Parsons, 69, of Webbville, went to be with his Lord on Monday, Nov. 11, 2013, at his residence. He was born Jan. 1, 1944, in Lawrence County, a son of the late Luther and Loura Kitchen Parsons.

James was a laborer with Local 1445, sold farm equipment and loved trains.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Parsons in 2010; two sisters, Juda Berdene Sparks and Roberta Mae Bowling; and a stepson, Kenny Tice.

He is survived by nieces Heidi Parsons Forrest and husband Jimmy of Webbville and Juda Arlene Sparks of Cincinnati, Ohio; nephews Phillip Marcum and wife Dedera of Webbville, Jacob Marcum of Morehead and Gregory Lincoln Sparks of Grayson; brother-in-law Lincoln Sparks of Grayson; and two stepsons and two stepdaughters.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013, at Malone Funeral Home in Grayson with David Boggs, minister. Burial will be in the Rogers-Messer Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013, and from 9 a.m. to service time Thursday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Phillip Marcum, Jimmy Forrest, Jacob Marcum, Neil Marcum, Rick Stevens and Anthony Young.
