Leona McKinney Rucker, 81, of Grayson died Friday, Oct. 25, 2013, in Carter Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Grayson.
She was born April 7, 1932, in Hitchins, a daughter of the late Walter and America Ann Wells McKinney.
She was an active member of the Wesleyan Church. She was a homemaker and loved taking care of her flowers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Harold Ivan Rucker; five brothers, George, Frank, Jack, Paul and Billy McKinney; and three sisters, Amanda Gullett, Nora Jean Dehart and Martha McKinney.
Leona is survived by three brothers, Ed (Carolyn) McKinney of Rush, Ray (Emilie) McKinney and Woodrow (Tina) McKinney of Ashland; a sister, Kathleen Gollihue of Richmond; a sister-in-law, Yvonne McKinney of Grayson; and one grandson, Shawn Rucker.
Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 28, 2013, at Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson with Ed McKinney, minister.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
