ASHLAND — Juanita Watson Wade, 95, of Huntington, W.Va., formerly of Ashland, died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013, in The Woodlands Retirement Community.

She was born Aug. 8, 1918, at Caney, the daughter of the late Reuben Millard and Ethel Dykes Watson. She was actively employed in a munitions plant in Wisconsin during World War II and was actively involved in the Methodist Youth Fellowship program. She was a homemaker and an accomplished seamstress and gardener, and a member of Ashland First United Methodist Church.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald P. Wade, and a brother, David Leon Watson.  

She is survived by a daughter, Debra Geraci and husband Anthony of Swampscott, Mass.; a son, Richard Wade and wife Helen of Louisville; four grandchildren, Richard Paul Wade Jr. and wife Mary Ann, Katherine Bonner Babcock and husband Joe, Anthony Wade Geraci and wife Jessica Murray and Wesley Watson Geraci; and four great-grandchildren, Meredith and Caroline Wade and Whitt and Collier Babcock.  

Private family services are scheduled with the Rev. John Street officiating.  Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.

Miller Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to The Woodlands Retirement Community, Employee Gratuity Fund, 1 Bradley Foster Drive, Huntington, WV 25701.
