SOUTH AMHERST, OH —
Bridget Marie Potts Bunting, 65, of South Amherst, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013, in New Life Hospice Residential Center in Lorain, Ohio, following a lengthy illness.
She was born Sept. 2, 1948, in Ashland. Bridget was raised and lived in Kentucky and later Michigan before moving to South Amherst in 1978.
Her primary focus in life was that of being a wife, mother and grandmother. Bridget worked as a registered medical assistant. She loved music, and in her younger years enjoyed playing the guitar, piano and singing. Her greatest joy was family gatherings and the fellowship she shared with her friends.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Michael Wong and Rodney Salyers; and her parents, Orville “Tony” and Ruby Waller Potts.
Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Richard Bunting; her sons, Richard Aaron (Nikki) Bunting and Matthew Douglas (Brandy) Bunting, all of Amherst; her daughter, Kimberly Joy (Joshua) Montgomery of South Amherst; grandchildren Jordon Kelley, Jacob Montgomery, Brenden Bunting and Angela, Katie and Matthew Blisch; brothers Joseph Rieg of Florida, James White of Romulus, Mich., and William White of Fairview, Mich.; and sisters Brenda Castle of South Amherst, Karen White of Romulus, Judith White Hatcher of Taylor, Mich., and Elizabeth Guyot of Wyandotte, Mich.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 18, 2013, at Hempel Funeral Home in Amherst. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in South Amherst.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013, at the funeral home.
