FLATWOODS — Gary Lee England, 59, of Flatwoods, passed away Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013, at his residence with his family by his side.

Gary was born on March 19, 1954, in Ashland. He worked as an under carriage re-build specialist for Whayne Supply Co. for 36 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Flatwoods. Gary was also a member of the American Legion, Eagles and Steel Workers of America. He enjoyed fishing, camping, NASCAR, blue grass music and, most of all, spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gene England.

He leaves behind his loving mother, Nova Dunaway of Flatwoods; two daughters, Stacey (Paul) Collins of Flatwoods and Erin England and her fiancé, Mitch Smith, of Flatwoods; two grandchildren, Greyson Smith and Lilly Collins; a special cousin, Debbie Armstrong of Flatwoods; his former wife, Diane Dechant England of Flatwoods; two sisters; Karen (David) Conley of North Carolina and Janet (Greg) Hall of Virginia, all whom will miss him dearly.

Funeral services will be at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods at noon Saturday with words of comfort delivered by Pastor David Daniels. Visitation will be two hours prior to service time at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods.
