VANCEBURG — Infant Landen Wayde Knell of Vanceburg was carried to heaven by angels Monday morning, Aug. 19, 2013, at Adena Medical Center in Chillicothe, Ohio.

Landen was the son of Anthony and Ruby Shepherd Knell of Vanceburg. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Brenda Lou Knell; his maternal grandfather, Charles Shepherd Jr.; his paternal great grandparents, Ralph and Pauline Knell; and his maternal great-grandparents, Ruby Shepherd and Willard and Patty Adams.

Landen is also survived by a brother, Brian Phillips of Vanceburg; a sister, Nevaeh Harris of Chillicothe; his paternal grandfather, Tony Wayde Knell of Vanceburg; his maternal grandmother, Maurita Shepherd of Wheelersburg; his paternal great-grandparents, Tim and Debbie Jordan of Vanceburg and Simon Smith of Laurel; and his maternal great-grandfather, Charles Shepherd Sr. of Portsmouth. He also leaves several aunts, uncles and cousins, who sadly mourn his passing.

A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. today, Aug. 21, 2013, at Nolen Cemetery in Laurel by Brother Hansel Butler.

Globe Family Funeral Chapel in Camp Dix is in charge of arrangements.
