Timothy Coleman “Cole” Thomas 1995-2014

GREENUP — Timothy Coleman “Cole” Thomas, 18, of Worthington, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 22, 2014, in Clark Regional Medical Center in Winchester.

He was born Sept. 2, 1995, in Portsmouth, Ohio, a son of Christy Hewlett Reed and her husband, Kenny, of Worthington and Chris Thomas and his wife, Karen, of Middleburg, Fla.  

He was preceded in death by great-grandparents Willa Dean Oney, Homer Adkins, Delmar and Wilma Hewlett and Leslie and Betty Thomas; his aunt, Amanda Mullins; and his great-uncle, Donald Coleman Oney.

Cole was a member of Greenup Christian Church. He was a 2013 graduate of Raceland-Worthington High School, where he was involved with many sports, including football, track, golf and archery. He was attending the University of Pikeville on a track scholarship.

He is also survived by a sister, Willow Reed of Worthington; four brothers, Chase Thomas and Gavin Reed of Worthington, Chandler Thomas of Florida and Zack Litteral of Wurtland; grandparents Don and Pam Dillow of Raceland, Mike and Donna Hewlett of Greenup, Lem and Wanda Mullins of Greenup and Nathan and Debbie Thomas of Florida; great-grandparents Clifford Oney of Raceland and Evelene Adkins of Greenup; aunts and uncles Jake and Amy Hewlett of Worthington, Scott and Melinda Lanham of Texas, Nate and Angie Thomas of Florida and Gary and Steph Rosenstone of Florida; cousins A.J. and Maddie Hewlett, Emily and Brennan Lanham, Tyler Smith, Alex McNutt, Nick Wilson and Harrison, Graham, Ella, Emma and Nate Thomas; and a host of other family and friends who will greatly miss him.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2014, in the old gym at Raceland-Worthington High School by the Rev. Tom Stephens. Burial will be in Brick Union Cemetery at Lloyd.

Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today, March 25, 2014, in the old gym.

Evans Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the Coleman Thomas Memorial Fund at First & Peoples Bank and Trust Co. in Greenup.
