GREENUP — Mabel Viola Timberlake, 97, of South Shore, joined her Lord on Monday, Feb. 25, 2013, in South Shore Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was a daughter of the late Morgan Collier and Nellie Hardin Collier.

She was a member of Sunshine United Methodist Church and Sunshine United Methodist Women. She was a former 4-H Club leader, a former student at McKell High School, a Kentucky colonel and a member of the East Tygart Homemakers.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Howard “Cotton” Timberlake, on June 6, 1982; a son, Charles Timberlake; a daughter, Marlene Glass; and four sisters, Alberta Fox, Hazel Bentley, Marilyn Forbes and Janet Timberlake.

Surviving are a son, Roger (Gloria) Timberlake of Cincinnati; two daughters, Roberta (Robert) Green and Joann Johnson, both of South Shore; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore by the Rev. Leroy Fox and the Rev. Charles Mowery. Burial will be at Siloam Cemetery in South Shore.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2013, and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
