William Harold Bledsoe, 86, of Ashland, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2013, in Boyd Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born Sept. 21, 1926, in Carter County, a son of the late Glen H. and Grace Walker Bledsoe.
He was a truck driver, miner and gunsmith and belonged to Teamsters Local 505 of Huntington. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
William was also preceded in death by his wife, Betty Ruth Robinson Bledsoe.
His survivors include a son, Mark Bledsoe of Louisa; three daughters, Genetta (Bill) McClave of Ashland, Joyce (Larry) Moore of Flemingsburg and Frances (Tim) Rice of Olive Hill; seven grandchildren, Brad (Michelle) McClave, Amanda Grace (Sean) Preston, Larry Anthony (Carrie) Moore, Keirston Moore, Nathan Rice, Billy Paul (Regina) Rice and Aiden Joseph Bledsoe; and seven great-grandchildren, Micah McClave, Grace Anne Preston, Thea Jo Rice, Skylar Shea Rice, Taylor Moore, Kamiron Moore and Raelynn Moore.
Graveside funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at East Carter County Memory Gardens in Grayson by Delmar Rogers, minister.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today, May 21, 2013, at Malone Funeral Home in Grayson.
Pallbearers will be Mark Bledsoe, Brad McClave, Billy Rice, Nate Rice, Sean Preston and Micah McClave.
