GREENUP — James David Baker, 58, of Greenup, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2013, in St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, W.Va.

He was born in Ashland on Feb. 2, 1955, a son of Letha Jane Adkins Baker of Greenup and the late Clyde Thurman Baker.

He was preceded in death, along with his father, by a son, John Baker in 1982.

He was a retired operator at Dupont Chemicals in Wurtland.

He is survived by, along with his mother, his wife, Cheryl Jo Walters Baker; a daughter, Sarah Nichole (Douglas Brown) James of Greenup; three stepdaughters, Danielle (Gabe Winbauer) Nolan of Portland Ore., Jamie (Joseph Filiatreau) Hall of Georgetown and Alexandra Stockham of Greenup; and six grandchildren, Bella Brown, Clay Hall, Layla Hollins, Charles Nolan, Lilli Greer and Gabe Greer.

A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup by Brother Kail Ruffner.

Relatives and friends may call after 5 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tourette’s Syndrome Association, “TSA” 42-40 Bell Blvd., Bayside, NY 11361.
