CATLETTSBURG — John Doster Jacobs, 33, of Catlettsburg, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2013, from injuries he received in a one-car automobile accident.  

John was born Aug. 5, 1979, in Boyd County, a son of Eddie Jacobs and Jennifer McCoy Jobe.  

He was employed by TKT Trucking Co. as a truck driver and was married to Christina Hutchinson Jacobs.  

He was a member of Christian Faith Outreach in Ashland. He loved to fish and hunt, spend time with his family and make people laugh. John was a loving husband, father and son.  

Also surviving are two daughters, McKenzie Jacobs and Shea Geiger, both at home; a half-brother, Todd Gilpen of Columbus, Ohio; and a half-sister, Kritina Gilpen of Columbus.  

A committal service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 2, 2013, at Jacobs Cemetery in Greenup County by Pastor Gene Easterling. There will also be a memorial service at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Christian Faith Outreach on Herman Avenue in Ashland by Pastor Gene Easterling. A dinner will follow.
