Mildred “Ernestean” Fannin - 1928-2013

PALM BAY, FL — Mildred “Ernestean” Fannin, 84, of Palm Bay, Fla., and a former resident of Ashland for 28 years, passed away peacefully Wednesday June 19, 2013, in William Childs Hospice House.

She was born Nov. 24, 1928, at East Point. Ernestean relocated to Palm Bay in February 1993 from Bethel Park, Pa., with her husband and love her of life, Jack R. Fannin. The couple were married Jan. 9, 1948, and celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary this year.

Ernestean was an active member of First Church of Nazarene in Melbourne, Fla. She also enjoyed hobbies such as crafts, needlepoint and embroidery.

Ernestean was met in heaven by her son, Glenn R. Fannin.

Ernestean is survived by her husband, Jack R. Fannin of Palm Bay; a brother, James (Mona) Baldridge of Conde, S.D.; a grandson, Christopher Cody Fannin of Fresno, Calif.; four cousins, Susie Robinson Gray of East Point, Helen Lee Barnhardt of Brandon, Fla., Montey Rice and Jackie Rice; and several extended family members.

Visitation and funeral services for family and friends were at 2 and 3 p.m. Sunday, June 23, 2013, at Fountainhead Funeral Home in Palm Bay, with interment in Fountainhead Memorial Park.
