Lucy Ellen Taylor Potter, 89, of Clearfield, passed away at her home on Tuesday, July 23, 2013, after an extended illness.
Lucy was born March 1, 1924, in Charleston, Ark., and was a daughter of the late Mary Bagwell Taylor and Jess Taylor. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Lunda Potter; an infant daughter, Janet Potter; two brothers, Jesse Taylor and Roy Taylor; and a stepgranddaughter, Harper Cox.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda (Cooper) Whitt of Frankfort and Diane (John) Cox of Morehead; two sisters, Laura Gentille of Van Buren, Ark., and Mary Jane (Leroy) Smith of Broken Arrow, Okla.; two grandsons, John (Kim) Whitt of Owingsville and Jesse (Sarah) Whitt of Louisville; a stepgranddaughter, Sarah Cox of Austin, Texas; and five great-grandchildren, South, Natalie and Caroline Whitt, all of Owingsville, and Keeton and Carson Ann Whitt, both of Louisville.
The family would like thank Cloma Meredith, special friend and caregiver, and Dr. Twana Hatton and Dr. Parker Banks for their loving care and guidance.
Private services were Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens by Brother Clay Coburn. Entombment was in Forest Lawn Mausoleum.
