Rachael Leigh Henderson Underwood - 1969-2013

GEORGETOWN, OH — Mrs. Rachael Leigh Henderson Underwood, 44, of Georgetown, Ohio, formerly of Olive Hill, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2013, in Southwest Regional Medical Center in Georgetown.

She was born Feb. 27, 1969, in Morehead, the daughter of J. B. and Nancy Holbrook Henderson of Olive Hill.

She was preceded in death by a son, Derek Madison Underwood.

Rachael was a teacher administrator for the Southern Hills Career Center in Georgetown. She received a bachelor of arts degree from Morehead State University and a master’s degree from the University of Dayton.

Rachael is also survived by her husband of 23 years, Jerry Underwood, whom she married July 22, 1989; three children, Solomon, Kennedy and Alex Underwood; a sister, Stacy Wright and husband Robert of Columbus, Ohio; a brother, Jake Henderson and wife Hope of Olive Hill; maternal grandmother Marjorie Holbrook of Olive Hill; father-in-law and mother-in-law Guy and Ruth Ann Davis Underwood of Olive Hill; nine nieces and nephews; and many other family members and friends who will sadly mourn her passing.

A celebration of life service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 19, 2013, at Georgetown Church of Christ, 149 Hamer Road, Georgetown, OH 45121, by Scott Hennig. There will be no visitation.

A graveside service will be at 6 p.m. Sunday, May 19, 2013, at Brown Cemetery in Olive Hill by Brother Bob Donovan. Friends may meet at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill at 5 p.m. Sunday for the funeral procession to the cemetery.
