GREENUP — Lou Alice Fields Lemmings, 100, of Flatwoods, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 9, 2013, in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.

Mrs. Lemmings was born Oct. 21, 1912, at Muses Mill, a daughter of the late Tom and Elizabeth Hamm Morrison. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, George Fields; her second husband, Clyde E. Lemmings; three infant children; brothers Clarence, Robert, Walter and Archie Morrison; and sisters Mary Giles and Endie Pitts.

Surviving are two sons, Clyde (Sandra) Lemmings and Dellis (Carol) Lemmings, both of Flatwoods; a daughter, Elizabeth (Kenneth) Gibbs of Flatwoods; a daughter-in-law, Thelma Fields of Sweetser, Ind.; sisters Elsie Marcum of Flatwoods, Cora Coons of Cleveland, Ohio, and Arsula Truitt of Kokomo, Ind.; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Worship services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2013, at Evans Funeral Home in Raceland by Ministers J.C. Fain and Alan Ison. Burial will be in Caroline Cemetery in Raceland.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
