Virginia Mae Williams Wike, 89, of Worthington, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 25, 2013, in Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell.
Mrs. Wike was born June 20, 1923, in Hinton, W.Va., a daughter of the late Charles and Lottie Berry Williams. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clarence L. Wike; three sisters, Anna Samuels, Nellie Brumfield and Elsie Williams; and two brothers, Harry Matheny and Elmer Williams.
She was a member of White Oak Chapel in Flatwoods.
Surviving are four daughters, Ruby (Ron) Cordle of Russell, Louise (Charles) Stevens and Brenda (Virgil) Howard, both of Worthington, and Elsie (Warren) Hensley of Flatwoods; nine grandchildren, Robin (Rick) Presley, Terry (Terry) Miller, Kim (David) Patton, Rachel (Vick) Cordle, Wayne Stevens, Brenda Kaye (Jamie) Adams, Becky Clay, Stacy Howard and Ryan Howard; 23 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
The family of Virginia would like to say thank you to the staff at Wurtland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital for the special care she was given.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, April 29, 2013, at Evans Funeral Home in Raceland by Dr. Tom Melvin. Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral hom
