Stella Louise Barrett 1947-2013

CATLETTSBURG — Stella Louise Barrett, 65, of Johnsons Fork in Catlettsburg, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, in King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, with her loving family at her side.

Stella was born Oct. 13, 1947, in Kenova, W.Va., a daughter of Stella Lillian Eads Barrett of Catlettsburg and the late Henry Barrett.

Stella was a 1965 graduate of Boyd County High School and a quality auditor for 10 years with Cintas Corp. Prior to her position with Cintas, she was employed by Corbin Ltd., in Huntington, W.Va., and Ashland Crafts. Stella was a member of Macedonia Enterprise Church. She enjoyed going to church and working with her flowers. She loved her niece and nephews.

Stella is survived by her mother, Stella Barrett; brothers Henry Ricky Barrett (Kathy) of Ashland and James Earl “Boo” Barrett (Sarah) of Catlettsburg; a sister, Loretta Barrett of Catlettsburg; nephews and niece Christopher (Tasha), Stephanie, Andrew and Aaron; and great-nephews Jacob, Logan, Camron and Ethan Barrett.

A life celebration for Stella will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at Kilgore & Collier Funeral Home in Catlettsburg. Final rest will be in Warner Cemetery in Catlettsburg. Pastor Fred Chaffins will officiate.

Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
