ASHLAND — Linda Wellman Cottle, 69, of Ashland, formerly of Catlettsburg, went to be with her Lord on Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Cottle was born in Catlettsburg, a daughter of the late Russell and Mary Francis Maynard Wellman.

Linda was a 1961 graduate of Thomas R. Brown High School and retired from King’s Daughters Medical Center after 43 years of service in the business office. She loved, loved, loved her grandbabies and her family. She enjoyed gospel music by the Gaithers and attended Catlettsburg Freewill Baptist Church.

Linda leaves behind the love of her life, James “Jimmy” Cottle; their children, Jim Cottle and his wife, Robin, and Mitzi Davidson and her husband, Jeff, both of Lexington; four wonderful grandchildren, Taylor Cottle, Andrew Cottle, Parker Davidson and Laney Davidson; and sisters Patty Koster and Sue Moore (Roger).

A life celebration for Mrs. Cottle will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, at Kilgore & Collier Funeral Home in Catlettsburg by Pastor Bob Chaffins. Burial will be in Catlettsburg Cemetery.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
