Walter Peterman, 66, of Grayson, died Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, in Community Hospice House in Ashland.
He was born Nov. 6, 1946, in Ashland, a son of the late John F. and Geneva Fitzgerald Peterman.
He worked for Hamer Lumber Company. Walter attended Pentecostal Holliness Church in Ashland.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Walter David Stewart; one daughter, Amie McKnight; three granddaughters, Cassie Fitzgerald; and two infant daughters; and one brother, Keith Peterman.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Virginia L. Conn Peterman; three sons, Kevin Peterman, John P. Fitzgerald II, and Jamie Fitzgerald; five daughters, Kim Conn, Sheila Wheeler, Charolett Cunningham, Shanon Jackson and Lynn Fitzgerald; five brothers, Randall, Roger, Lee Allen, Larry and Frank Peterman; seven sisters, Donna Perrock, Jackie Nanny, Judy Peterman, Mary Hounsell, Barb Pinkerton, Janie Dearman and Anna Brown; 20 grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, at Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova, W.Va., with the Rev. Tommy Romans officiating and Mark Reeves assisting.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
