Juanita Blevins, 92, of Raceland, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, in the Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell.
Mrs. Blevins was born Jan. 13, 1920, in Olive Hill, a daughter of the late Maryland and Mattie Blevins Barker. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Arnold “Peg” Blevins; one sister, Alberta Morgan; and two brothers, Orville Kenneth Barker and J. E. “Junior” Barker.
She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the Democratic Women’s Club.
Surviving are one daughter and her husband, Annette and Oren Catlin of Raceland; three sisters, Pauline Hunt of Medina, Ohio, Faye McClone of Ashland, and Janet Mae Simpson of Florida; two grandsons, David and Eddie Waggoner; six great-grandchildren, Stephanie Ramsdell, Ashley Suttles, Christina Helms, Haley Marie Waggoner, and William Waggoner; and one great-great-grandchild, Ace Helms.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Evans Funeral Home in Raceland, by the Rev. Marvin Boggs. Burial will follow in the Plum Grove Cemetery in Greenup.
Friends may call after 11 a.m until service hour Monday at the funeral home.
