Thelma Harbour Warren 1922-2014

ASHLAND — Thelma Harbour Warren, 91, died Saturday, Feb. 8, in Cincinnati, surrounded by family.

She was the beloved wife of Robert K. Warren of Cincinnati, formerly of Ashland; the loving mother of Carol E. Warren and Joseph T. Warren; a cherished grandmother of three and great-grandmother of three; and the dear sister of Maggie McCarty.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Minor Sim and Mary Etta Harbour. Thelma was born July 22, 1922, in Hurricane, W.Va., and was a graduate of Huntington East High School and served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II at Camp Lejeune, N.C.

She married Robert in 1948 and became a homemaker and devoted mother of two children. She enjoyed golf, tennis, bridge and garden club. She was a member of First Christian Church in Ashland for many years.

Plans for a memorial service are incomplete. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be sent to First Christian Church in Ashland.

Gilligan Funeral Homes in Cincinnati are in charge of arrangements.
