Jessie Fultz Lowe 1926-2013

CARTER — Mrs. Jessie Fultz Lowe, age 86, of Olive Hill, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday evening, April 23, 2013, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

She was born June 20, 1926, in Carter County, a daughter of the late Willard “W.T.” and Dealie Jordan Fultz.

She was also preceded in death by her youngest daughter, Retha Lowe Pursel, in 2009; a son-in-law, Gary Mozingo, in 2011; and an infant brother, Charley Fultz.

Jessie was a graduate of Morehead State University and taught in the Carter County School District for more than 28 years, retiring from Grahn Elementary School. She was a member of First Christian Church of Olive Hill, was a Christian for many years and enjoyed reading her Bible daily. Her most enjoyable times were spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, and preparing delicious meals for her family and friends.

Jessie is survived by her husband of 68 years, Lloyd Lowe; three daughters and a son-in-law, Rosetta Lowe of Georgetown and Brenda Mozingo and Caffie and Gary Caudill, all of Olive Hill; two grandchildren, Shawna (James) Erbe of West Milford, N.J., and Dylan Pursel of Morehead; many other family members; and church family, neighbors and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 27, 2013, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill by the Rev. Ron Arnett and the Rev. David Gee. Burial will be in East Carter County Memory Gardens in Grayson.

Friends may visit from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, April 26, 2013, and until services Saturday at the funeral home.

Gary Caudill, Dylan Pursel, Jim Erbe, Jim McCormick, Roger Lowe and Mike Lowe will serve as pallbearers.
