Jacqlyn Juliann Jordan 1987-2013 Infant Jacqlyn Devyn Reann Jordan Burchett

CARTER — Jacqlyn Juliann Jordan, 26, of Olive Hill, passed away July 5, 2013.

Jacqi was born to Erlande and Brian Jordan on May 25, 1987, in Santa Ana, Calif.

She was a 2005 high school graduate of The Center School in Seattle, Wash. She was living with her boyfriend, Jarrod Burchett, in Olive Hill, where she was continuing her education in the medical field at Morehead State University.

Jacqi was passionate about her career in the medical field. As a child she was born with a heart defect that entailed several surgeries throughout her life. She was very appreciative of the care she received and wanted to extend this to others. In high school she volunteered at Seattle Children’s Hospital and later worked at the Harborview and University of Washington medical centers. From September 2010 to December 2011, she studied on the island of St. Kitt’s with the International University of Nursing before transferring to Morehead State to complete her degree.

Jacqi’s most recent joy was the anticipation of motherhood; she was in her 26th week of pregnancy with her daughter, Jacqlyn Devyn Reann Jordan Burchett.

Jacqlyn Devyn was born July 5, 2013, and lived for two days before being reunited with her mother in heaven on July 7, 2013. She passed peacefully in the arms of her father, Jarrod Burchett. During her brief stay on Earth she touched many lives.

She is survived by her paternal grandparents, Rene and Steve Burchett, and her maternal grandparents, Erlande Jordan and Brian and Kimberly Jordan.

Jacqi is survived by her mother, Erlande Jordan; her father and stepmother, Brian and Kimberly Jordan; her sister, Megan Jordan; her grandparents, Axel Alstad, William Jordan and Marcella Drivdahl; her boyfriend, Jarrod Burchett; special friends Rene and Steve Burchett and family; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.

A joint celebration of life service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 11, at Malone Funeral Home in Grayson by Randy Binion.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Condolences may be sent to malonefuneralhome.com.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Ronald McDonald House, P.O. Box 22414, Lexington, KY 40522.
