LEXINGTON — Ray Lockhart, 76, of Lexington, formerly of Ashland, died Saturday morning, Dec. 7, 2013, at his residence.  

Ray was born March 7, 1937, in Boyd County, a son of the late Geneva Massingill Lockhart.  

He was a member of South Ashland United Methodist Church and was a retired pipefitter with AK Steel. He was a member of Fred M. Gross Lodge 953, F&AM. Ray was an avid UK fan who enjoyed time with his family and grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.  

He is survived by his loving wife, Lovonda McClain Lockhart; two sons, Doren Lockhart and wife Kim of Cedar Hill, Tenn., and Todd Lockhart and wife Daryl of Lexington; and five precious grandchildren, Matthew, Kelsey, Katherine, Evan and Tori.  

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, by Pastor Mike Rice at Preston Family Funeral Home in Ashland. Entombment will be in Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum in Ashland, with Masonic rites by officers and brothers of Fred M. Gross Lodge 953, F&AM.

Visitation will be after 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
