Elizabeth Kegley - 1928-2013

WARNOCK — Elizabeth Ellen Kegley, 85, of Warnock, went to be with the lord on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013, in Three Rivers Regional Medical Center in Louisa, following an extended illness.

She was born May 2, 1928, in Greenup County, a daughter of the late Tilden and Mary Johnson Allen.

She was of the Church of Christ faith and before her illness she enjoyed attending church with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Paul Kegley; three brothers, Thomas Allen, Noah Allen and Andrew Allen; and a sister, Linda Kibbey.

She is survived by a son, Paul Dean Kegley and  daughter-in-law, Roxanne Kegley; three grandchildren, whom she adored, Amanda Litteral, Justin Kegley and Jessy Kegley; and two great-grandchildren, Harmony Litteral and Elijah Litteral, who were her kindred spirits. She also is survived by two sisters, Darlene Stephens of Greenup and Irene Imel of Troy, Ohio; two brothers, Chester Allen and Burns Allen of Greenup; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013, at Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup by Brother Carl Collier. Burial will be in the Robert Paul Cemetery in Warnock.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to service time Sunday at the funeral home.
