Deloris “Maw” Wells 1923-2013

GREENUP — Deloris “Maw” Wells, 90, of Greenup, went to be with her Lord Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013, in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.

She was born March 28, 1923, to the late William Drew White and Linnie Harr White.

She was a member of the Coal Branch Free Pentecostal Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Wells Sr., who passed away on March 31, 2000; two brothers, Kenneth White and Drew White and one sister, Agnes Phillips.

Surviving are her five sons, the Rev. James E. Wells of Spokane, Wash., Russell E. Wells Jr. of Lloyd, the Rev. Ralph E. Wells of Yarnell, Ariz., Royce Wells of Wurtland and Ronnie E. Wells of Clay City; and two daughters, O’Donna Day of Richmond and Brenda Harless of Wurtland. She also is survived by 17  grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 1, 2013, at Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore with the Rev. Eugene Pierce and the Rev. Ralph Wells officiating. Burial will be in Brick Union Cemetery in Greenup.

Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
