Judith Emily Lee Creech, 74, of Ashland, went home to be with the Lord on Friday afternoon, Aug. 16, 2013, in King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Creech was born Sept. 29, 1938, in Ashland, the daughter of the late Claude Francis and Opal Bartee Lee.
Judy was a 1962 graduate of Morehead State University with a bachelor of arts degree in education, and attended First Baptist Church Russell. She taught in the Fairview school system for several years. She loved teaching and her students. She enjoyed ceramics and oil painting, but most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her loving husband, Jack Creech of Ashland; two sons, Brant Creech and Joe Creech and wife Stacy of Ashland; daughter Jacquelyn Arthur and husband Michael of Findlay, Ohio; brother Joseph Lee and wife Rocky of Ashland; sister Susan Lee of Ashland; two grandchildren, Jonathan and Justin Arthur; and two stepgrandchildren, Kyle and Brad Wilburn.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013, at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland, with Pastor Ken Gowin officiating and Pastor Greg Creech assisting. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 19, 2013, at the funeral home.
