Doris Hogg Baer - 1938-2013

ASHLAND — Doris Hogg Baer, 75, of Ashland, departed this life in the arms of her Heavenly Father with Jesus Christ holding her hand for her journey to Heaven’s green fields with her family at her side. Doris stepped out in the goodness of God’s love and mercy for her eternal rewards on April 4, 2013, in the year of our Lord.

Doris was born Jan. 16, 1938, to the late Denny Hogg and the late Virginia Green Hogg O’Brien.

She attended Thomas R. Brown High School and was a cheerleader. Doris also sang with The Gospel Ambassadors, attended 39th Street Baptist Church, formerly Oak Springs United Baptist Church, and she enjoyed crafts and ceramics.

She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Jack Baer; a wonderful brother, Larry Hogg; three daughters, Tammy Goni (Alex) of Mexico City, Jackie Ramos (Julio) of Utah and Christy Howard (Rick) of Ashland; son, Eric Baer (Kim) of Ashland. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, Tammy, Michelle, Emily Rhoades (Stephen), Alex Goni Jr., Ian, Caide Ramos, Chad, Adam, Jenni Howard, Hannah, Haleigh Baer, Chris, Christie Allen; and a precious great-grandchild, Emilia Rhoades, and two on the way who will also know that Granny loved them dearly.

The funeral honoring Mrs. Baer will be at 1 p.m. Monday, April 8, 2013, at Neal Funeral Home in Catlettsburg. Brother Tiny Breeding and Brother  Jimmy Adkins will bring a message of hope and comfort. Final rest will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call at noon Monday at the funeral home.
