GREENUP — Minnie Dyer, 83, of Greenup, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2013, at her residence.

She was born Aug. 16, 1929, to the late William “Bill” Holbrook and Edith VanNatter Holbrook.

She is survived by her husband, Leonard Dyer Jr. of Greenup.

She was a retired retail manager. She was a member of Greenup First Baptist Church. Minnie was not only a doer, but a giver to all those she loved and knew. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She enjoyed traveling, quilting and music. She also had a very infectious laugh.

In addition to her husband, she is also survived by her stepsons, Durwin Dyer (Debbie) of Ona, W.Va., Norris Dyer (Carla) of Charleston, W.Va., and Leonard G. Dyer of Saint Albans, W.Va.; daughter, Portia Leonard of Wayne, W.Va.; stepdaughter, Peggy (Phil) Marcantonio of Canton, Ohio; brothers, Jerry Holbrook of Axton, Va.; sisters, Norma Belt of Wayne, W.Va., and Joanna Holbrook of Wayne, W.Va.; grandchildren, Lori (Chris) Arthur, Mark Dyer, David Dyer, Dianna Dyer, Jack Leonard III, Selena (Tim) Stephens, Alexandria Marcantonio, Adrianna Marcantonio, Ashley Marcantonio and Philly Marcantonio; great-grandchildren, Tennille (Jacob) Gilkerson, Kennetta Leonard, Portia Leonard and Nichlas Arthur; great-great-grandchildren, Levi, Emma, Kali and Case Gilkerson.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, April 8, 2013, at Music Family Funereal Home in Greenup with Dr. Thomas J. Melvin. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Wayne, W.Va.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today, April 7, 2013, and after 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
