CARTER — Betty E. Skaggs, 90, of Webbville, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, in King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.  

Betty was born July 26, 1923, at Blaine, a daughter of the late Clyde and May Morris Stewart. She was a retired teacher aide in the Lawrence County School District and a member of Smith Chapel Independent Church.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, J.L. Skaggs, in 1977; a son, Johnny Skaggs; a daughter, Frances Skaggs Baldridge; a brother, Charles H. Stewart; and a sister, Hazel Marie Ramey.

Her survivors include a son, Roger, and wife Debbie Skaggs of Grayson; a daughter, Linda, and husband Roger Jenkins of South Point, Ohio; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013, at Malone Funeral Home in Grayson by David Boggs and David Wade. Burial will be in Webbville Community Cemetery.  

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, and after noon Sunday at the funeral home.
