ASHLAND — Nancy Stambaugh Withrow, 52, of Ashland, passed away Monday evening, Oct. 21, 2013, in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland surrounded by her family.

Ms. Withrow was born May 5, 1961, in Ashland, a daughter of Lessie Marie Scarberry Stambaugh of Ashland and the late James Ed Stambaugh.

Nancy was a graduate of Boyd County High School. She worked as a private caregiver and was a member of New Testament Freewill Baptist Church. The love of her life was her family, especially her nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews, whom she enjoyed spoiling.

In addition to Nancy’s mother, other survivors include 12 siblings, Floyd Stambaugh (Marlene) of Ashland, Neva Greene (Mike), of Ashland, Randall Stambaugh (Priscilla) of Catlettsburg, Richard Stambaugh (Lynn) of Catlettsburg, Keith Stambaugh (Loretta) of Kenova, W.Va., Marlene Atkinson (Wayne) of Florida, Mark Stambaugh (Johnda) of Ashland, Bill Stambaugh (June) of Kenova, Emory Stambaugh (Celia) of Ashland, Anita Shannon (Chuck) of Ashland, John Stambaugh (Cindy) of Ashland and Charles Stambaugh (Angela) of Ashland; a host of loving nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Juanita Dils.

The family would like to thank the many church friends and family for their love, prayers and support, and a special thank you to Community Hospice of Ashland.

The funeral for Ms. Withrow will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 25, 2013, at Neal Funeral Home in Catlettsburg by Pastors Eddie Hay and Mike Greene. Final rest will be in Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland.

Visiting hours will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Her brothers will serve as casket bearers.
