ASHLAND — Kenneth Elwood Daniels, 82, of Cannonsburg, passed away Friday, March 29, 2013.

Kenny was born May 3, 1930, in Boyd County to the late Norman and Ethel Conley Daniels.  

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict and retired in 1992 after 39 years from AK Steel as a conductor. He was a member of Steel Workers Union Local 1868 and a trustee and member of Heritage Temple Free Will Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Emma Runyon; and two infant brothers.

Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Elizabeth “Dolly” Estep Daniels of Canonsburg; a son, Kenneth Ray Daniels and his wife Vicky, of Oak Hill, Ohio; a daughter, Rebecca Cheri Kelly and her husband Gregory of Westwood; two grandchildren, Matthew Norman Daniels and Kenneth Ryan Daniels; two great-grandchildren, Riley Marie Daniels and Kenneth Landon Daniels; and numerous extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at Heritage Temple Freewill Baptist Church in Cannonsburg by the Rev. Ed Cook and the Rev. Tim York. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery.  

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Caniff Funeral Home in Westwood.
