Elizabeth Mae Castle Little, 84, of Flatwoods, passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at her home.
Mae was born June 23, 1928, at Tutor Key, to the late Cap L. Castle and Esta Caudill Castle.
In 1948, she came to Ashland where she met and married, David “Hershal” Little in 1949, after a whirlwind courtship of three months. It was a marriage that lasted almost 49 years, and a love that never ended.
Mae was employed by the Russell Independent School District from 1968 to 1986 as a cook at Russell Middle School and was a longtime member of the Nazarene church. She was a homemaker and at heart, a caregiver. She took pride in preparing hot meals for her “kids” at school. At home, family was her priority. Mae was a loving and caring person who was defined by her belief in God and her love for her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Darlene Castle, Virginia Marie Adams, Lyman Joe Castle, William Castle, Eskel Castle and Estill B. Castle.
